RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MORRO BAY, CALIFORNIA,
AUTHORIZING AMENDMENT TO THE CITY'S 2017/18
OPERATING AND CAPITAL BUDGETS
THE CITY COUNCIL
City of Morro Bay, California
WHEREAS, the City of Morro Bay is required to appropriate and expend public funds to conduct
its day4o-day business activities; and
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted the original Operating and Capital Improvement Budgets
on June 13, 2017) by Resolution No. 30-17; and
WHEREAS, in Fiscal Year (FY) 2016/17, the City allocated $100,000 to fund an ADA
assessment; and
WHEREAS, the ADA assessment was completed and a balance of $43,250 remained in the
original FY 2016/17 approved budget; and
and
And
WHEREAS, during the FY 2017/18 budget adoption, the remaining funds were not appropriated;
WHEREAS, the following is the project list of items to be completed utilizing these funds;
1. ADA upgrades to the Public Works Building, est. $5,000
2. ADA upgrades to City Hall, est. $6,000
3. Olive Street Handrail upgrade, est. $4,800
4. Del Mar Park restroom upgrades, est. $8-10,000
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it necessary to further amend said budgets.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Morro Bay, California,
authorizes the budget adjustment of $43,250 from the Deferred Revenue to the Capital Projects Budget
in Fund 915-8500 for the purposes of completing Americans with Disabilities ("ADA") Transition Plan
improvements throughout the City, any remaining funds will be utilized toward the ongoing list of ADA
recommended project list.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Morro Bay at a regular meeting
thereof held on the 12th day of December 2017, by the following vote:
