A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MORRO BAY, CALIFORNIA
DIRECTING THE LEVY OF THE ANNUAL ASSESSMENT
FOR THE CLOISTERS LANDSCAPING AND LIGHTING
MAINTENANCE ASSESSMENT DISTRICT PURSUANT TO THE
"LANDSCAPING AND LIGHTING ACT OF 1972"
(STREETS AND HIGHWAYS SECTIONS 22500 ET. SEQ.)
THE CITY COUNCIL
City of Morro Bay, California
WHEREAS, on May 11, 2021, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 24-21 declaring
the Council's intent to levy an assessment for the annual maintenance of the Cloisters Park and
Open Space within the Cloisters Landscaping and Lighting Maintenance Assessment District
(the "District") and approving the Engineers Report; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing for the levy of the annual assessment of the District was
scheduled for June 21, 2021, at or about 5:30 p.m., via teleconference pursuant to Section 3 of
Executive Order N-29-20, issued by Governor Newsom on March 17, 2020; and
WHEREAS, notices regarding the proposed assessment listing the date, time and
location of the public hearing were published in the local newspaper; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did take public testimony from all interested parties as to
the levy of the annual assessment for the District on June 22, 2021, via teleconference pursuant
to Section 3 of Executive Order N-29-20, issued by Governor Newsom on March 17, 2020.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Morro Bay:
1. The annual levy for the maintenance of the District, generally located as shown on
Exhibit "A" attached hereto, is hereby ordered and the assessment of $148,944 to be equally
distributed per assessable parcel for the Fiscal Year 2021/22 is hereby confirmed.
2. Adoption of this Resolution shall constitute the levy of an assessment for the Fiscal
Year 2021/22 and the City Clerk shall file the diagram and assessment with the County of San
Luis Obispo Auditor.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Morro Bay at a regular
meeting thereof held this 22nd day of June 2021 by the following roll call vote:

DISTRICT BOUNDARY DIAGRAM
The boundary diagrams for the District have previously been submitted to the City Clerk in the format required
under the 1972 Act and, by reference, are hereby made part of this Report. The boundary diagrams are available for
inspection at the office of the City Clerk during normal business hours. The following diagram provides an overview
of the District
