SPECIAL CLOSED SESSION MEETING –
FEBRUARY 28, 2023 – 3:30 P.M.

ESTABLISH QUORUM AND CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Wixom called the meeting to order at 3:30 p.m. with all members present.
SUMMARY OF CLOSED SESSION ITEMS – The Mayor read a summary of Closed Session items.
CLOSED SESSION PUBLIC COMMENT – Mayor Wixom opened public comment for items on the agenda.
Bill Martony, Morro Bay, commented on Item CS-1, asking the City to pause and explore ways to repurpose
the existing building at 781 Market Avenue.
Bernadette Pekarek, Morro Bay, commented on its history and agreed the building at 781 Market Avenue
should be preserved.
The public comment period was closed.
The City Council moved to Closed Session and heard the following items:
There was Council consensus to hear item CS-2 first.
Council Member Ford recused herself from Item CS-2 due to a conflict of interest and left the meeting at 3:35 p.m.
