A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MORRO BAY, CALIFORNIA
DIRECTING THE LEVY OF THE ANNUAL ASSESSMENT
FOR THE CLOISTERS LANDSCAPING AND LIGHTING
MAINTENANCE ASSESSMENT DISTRICT PURSUANT TO THE
"LANDSCAPING AND LIGHTING ACT OF 1972"
(STREETS AND HIGHWAYS SECTIONS 22500 ET. SEQ.)
THE CITY COUNCIL
City of Morro Bay, California
WHEREAS, on May 12, 2015, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 23-15 declaring
the Council's intent to levy an assessment for the annual maintenance of the Cloisters Park and
Open Space and approving the Engineers Report; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing for to the levy of the annual assessment of the district was
scheduled for June 23, 2015, at 7:00 p.m. in the Veteran's Memorial Building; and
WHEREAS, notices regarding the proposed assessment listing the date, time and
location of the public hearing were published in the local newspaper; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did take public testimony from all interested parties as to
the levy of the annual assessment for the Cloisters Landscaping and Lighting Maintenance
Assessment District on June 23, 2015 at the Veteran's Memorial Building.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Morro
Bay:
1. The annual levy for the maintenance of Cloisters Landscaping and Lighting
Maintenance Assessment District, generally located as shown on Exhibit "A" attached hereto, is
hereby ordered and the assessment of $148,944 to be equally distributed per assessable parcel for
the Fiscal Year 2015-16 is hereby confirmed.
2. Adoption of this Resolution shall constitute the levy of an assessment for the Fiscal
Year 2015-16 and the City Clerk shall file the diagram and assessment with the County of San
Luis Obispo Auditor.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Morro Bay at a regular
meeting thereof held this 23`s day of June, 2015 by the following roll call vote:
AYES: Irons, Headding, Johnson, Makowetski, Smukler
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
