RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MORRO BAY APPOINTING THE
DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS/CITY ENGINEER TO SERVE AS THE CITY'S
REPRESENTATIVE ON THE STATE WATER SUBCONTRACTORS COMMITTEE
THE CITY COUNCIL
City of Morro Bay, California
WHEREAS, the County of San Luis Obispo Flood Control and Water Conservation
District (County) is one of twenty-nine State Water contractors; and
WHEREAS, the County's contract is for 25,000 acre-feet (AF) per year and it
subcontracts with ten agencies; and
WHEREAS, the County formed a State Water Contractors C
technical advisors from each agency; and
ommittee made up of
WHEREAS, the purpose of this Committee is to share information and help make
decisions to help fully utilize the State Water resource we have invested in both water and
infrastructure; and
WHEREAS, because the Committee is technical in nature, it is staffs recommendation
that the Director of Public Works/City Engineer be appointed as the City's representative.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the City Council of the City, of Morro Bay,
California hereby appoints the Director Of Public Works/City Engineer to serve as the City's
representative on the State Water Subcontractors Committee. In addition, a year-end report
shall be provided to the Public Works Advisory Board and City Council.
PASSED AND ADOPTED, by the City Council of the City of Morro Bay, at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 15t" day of November, 2016, by the following vote:
AYES: Irons, Headding, Johnson, Smukler
NOES: None
ABSENT: Makowetski
ABSTAIN: None
