PRESENT: ABSENT: STAFF PRESENT Jamie Irons John Headding Christine Johnson Noah Smukler Matt Malcowetski Dave Buckingham Chris Neumeyer Eric Endersby AGENDA NO: A-2 lOiEETING DATE: August 23, 2016 Mayor Councilmember Councilmember Councilmember Councilmember City Manager Assistant City Attorney Harbor Director ESTABLISH QUORUM AND CALL TO ORDER — A quorum was established and the meeting was called to order at 3:00 p.m. with all members but Councilmember Makowetski present. SUMMARY OF CLOSED SESSION ITEMS -The Mayor read a summary of Closed Session items. CLOSED SESSION PUBLIC COMMENTS -Mayor Irons opened the meeting for public comment for items only on the agenda. Stan Trapp stated the attempt to reinterpret the terms of the lease was unfair and not sustainable financially. He requested the rent stay as originally interpreted with appraisal and CPI adjustments only. Reg Whibley stated the proposed rent increase was unfair and asked how the lease agreement could have been interpreted incorrectly for so many years. He suggested the terms be adjusted when a new lease agreement is executed. The public comment period was closed. The City Council moved to Closed Session and heard the following item: CS4 PUBLIC EMPLOYMENT Title: Assistant City Manager CS-2 CONFERENCE WITH LABOR NEGOTIATORS City Designated Representatives: Joseph W. The Council did not take any reportable action pursuant to the Brown Act.
