Mayor Shelton called the meeting to order at 4:30 p.m. with the following members present: ROLL CALL PRESENT: ABSENT: STAFF: Eugene R. Shelton Rodger J.. Anderson Bruce Risley John Lemons Bud Zeuschner Gary Napper Peggy Buchanan Andy Anderson Murre.l Crump Mike Wolski. Mayor Councilmember Councilmember Councilmember Councilmember Asst. to City Administrator Deputy City Clerk Public Works Director Community Development Director Engineering Assistant Mayor Shelton announced that this Special Meeting had been called to consider approval o f Final Tract Map 951, Sea Harbor Villas. Mr. Anderson informed Council that although approval of the final tract map had been sought originally, new information had come forth that additional signatures were needed for recordation. These signatures had not been secured., and staff was now recommending that a time extension be granted. Mr. Anderson noted that although time extensions u sually were processed through the Planning Commission prior to Council approval, this case was of such an urgent nature that staff felt the Planning Commission could be by- passed in this instance. Mr. Napper informed Council that the City Attorney had been contacted regarding this action, and was in agreement with staff Mr. Anderson told Council that the full one year time extension would not be needed, and that they would only request a 6-month extension, although it was likely that less than that would be needed. Councilmember Risley asked Mr. Crump if there would be any problems foreseen with the granting of this extension without Planning Commission approval. Mr Crump stated that if the extension were for a Period of six months or less, he did n ot foresee any problems. MOTION: Councilmember Risley moved that the Council approve a 6-month time e xtension for Tract No. 951 and that the Resolution approving this e xtension be adopted, and that the Council make the following findings o f fact: That the City Council finds that the urgency of this action is justified by the unavailability of the necessary two signatures for the recordation of the tract map and that this constitute grounds for this extension. The motion was seconded by Councilmember Anderson and carried by the following roll call vote: AYES. Risley, Anderson, Shelton NOES. None ABSENT: Lemons, Zeuschner MORRO BAY CITY COUNCIL Special Meeting - Feburary 16, 1983 Page Two With no further business, Mayor Shelton moved that the meeting be adjourned.
