SPECIAL MEETING - DECEMBER 19, 1984

Mayor Shelton called the meeting to order with the following members
present:
Eugene R. Shelton
John Lemons
Bruce Risley
Paul Baxter
Mayor
Councilmember
Counci lmember
City Administrator
Mr. Baxter reviewed the proposed Ordinance regarding the storage
of hazardous materials, and recommended that Council adopt the
Ordinance as an urgency measure, to be effective upon adoption.
MOTION:
Councilmember Lemons moved that Council adopt the
Ordinance regarding the underground storage of
hazardous materials, as an urgency measure, and
by reference. The motion was seconded by Council
member Risley and carried by the following roll call:
AYES: Lemons, Risley, Shelton
NOES: None
ABSENT: Anderson, Zeuschner
Mayor Shelton stated that he had been requested to proclaim the
week of December 24 through January 1, as Students Against Drunk
Drivers Week.
MOTION:
Mayor Shelton moved that Council authorize the Mayor
to Proclaim December 24 through January 1 as S . A. D . D
Week. The motion was seconded by Councilmember Risley
and carried unanimously. (3-0-2)
Mr. Baxter stated that Sonic Cable TV had requested that the City
comment on the community accomplishments for a taping session to.
be held Thursday, December 22, at 2 : 00 p.m.
MOTION:
Councilmember Lemons moved that the meeting be adjourned
to December 22, at 2:00 p.m. The motion was seconded by
Mayor Shelton and carried unanimously.
The meeting was adjourned at 4:20 p.m.
