A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MORRO BAY, CALIFORNIA,
AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF MORRO BAY TO ENTER
INTO A 2020/2021 SURRENDERED AND ABANDONED VESSEL EXCHANGE
GRANT AGREEMENT WITH THE DIVISION OF BOATING AND WATERWAYS
IN THE AMOUNT OF $18,200.00
THE CITY COUNCIL
City of Morro Bay, California
WHEREAS, City of Morro Bay (City) applied for a fiscal year 2020/2021
Surrendered and Abandoned Vessel Exchange (SAVE) Grant from State of California
Division of Boating and Waterways, and
WHEREAS, DBW awarded the City of Morro Bay a SAVE grant in the amount of
$18,200, which will allow the City the ability to utilize the funds as deemed necessary for
removal of abandoned and surrendered vessels and hazards to navigation; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Morro
Bay, California as follows:
1. The City is hereby authorized to enter into SAVE Grant Agreement
#C20S0604 in the amount of $18,200.00 for removal of
abandoned/surrendered vessels and hazards to navigation.
2. Harbor Director Eric Endersby is hereby authorized to act as the City's agent
in regards to all aspects of the grant, including signing the required
agreement and any other necessary documents.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Morro Bay at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 10th day of November 2020 on the following vote:
