MINUTES - MORRO BAY CITY COUNCIL
S PECIAL MEETING — OCTOBER 26, 2021
TELECONFERENCE — 3:30 P.M.
MEETING DATE: November 9, 2021
City Council conducted this meeting in accordance with California Governor Newson's Executive
Order N-08-21 issued on June 11, 2021 in response to the present State of Emergency in
existence due to the threat of COVID-19. This meeting was held via teleconference for all
participants.

Mayor Headding established a quorum and called the meeting to order at 3:30 p.m. with all but
Council Member Heller present.

Mayor Headding opened comment; seeing none, the public comment period was closed.

Planning Commission
• One (1) vacancy for the remainder of a term ending January 31, 2023
Mayor Headding announced one applicant had withdrawn his application, Dr. Ryan Garcia.
Chris Dent announced he wished to withdraw his application for consideration of appointment to
the Planning Commission but would like to be considered for the Public Works Advisory Board.
The following applicants were interviewed for the Planning Commission position: Matthew Davis,
Asia King, Malcolm (Moe) McEwen and Eric Vincent.
MOTION: Council Member Addis moved to appoint Asia King to fill the current vacancy on the
Planning Commission for the remainder of a term ending January 31, 2023. The
motion was seconded by Council Member Barton and carried 4-0-1 with Council
Member Heller absent.
Public Works Advisory Board

• One (1) vacancy for the remainder of a term ending January 31, 2025
The following applicants were interviewed for the Public Works Advisory Board position: Chris
Dent, Eric Riddiough and Eric Vincent.
MOTION: Council Member Barton moved to appoint Eric Riddiough to fill the current vacancy
on the Public Works Advisory Board for the remainder of a term ending January
31, 2025. The motion was seconded by Council Member Addis and carried 4-0-1
with Council Member Heller absent.
ADJOURNMENT
The meeting adjourned at 4:56 p.m.
