SPECIAL CLOSED SESSION MEETING –
DECEMBER 12, 2023 – 2:30 P.M.

ESTABLISH QUORUM AND CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Wixom called the meeting to order at 2:30 p.m. with all but Council Member Landrum present. Council
Member Landrum arrived at 2:35 p.m.
SUMMARY OF CLOSED SESSION ITEMS – The Mayor read a summary of Closed Session items.
CLOSED SESSION PUBLIC COMMENT – Mayor Wixom opened public comment for items on the agenda.
Sean Green, Morro Bay, suggested the City consider issuing a Request for Proposals for the aquarium site
with the current tenant operating under a 10-year lease. Regarding lease sites in general, he recommended
the City conduct audits to hold lease holders accountable for adherence to Conditional Development Permit
and other requirements.
The public comment period was closed.
The City Council moved to Closed Session and heard the following items:

RECONVENE IN OPEN SESSION – The City Council reconvened in Open Session. City Attorney Neumeyer
stated with regard to Item CS-2, the City is in discussions with San Luis Coastal Unified School District
regarding a potential lease/purchase of the former school site. There is a tremendous amount of preliminary
and necessary investigation that needs to occur before any substantive decision can be made.
